About the book:
Destined for Doon is book two of the popular YA series Doon, by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon. The book was inspired by the musical Brigadoon.
In the sequel to the remarkable first book of the series titled Doon, McKenna Reid realizes she made a big mistake a year later as she had left Brig’O Doon to pursue her dreams of broadway, leaving prince Duncan behind.
Kenna discovers that just maybe it’s meant to be between her and the prince and when she’s informed that the magical wonderland of Doon needs her, she doesn’t hesitate to return in search of a happy ever after.
Review:
Kenna returned to Doon with the prince even after she thought she would never step foot back in the magical land. A “Zombie fungus” threatens to invade and take over Doon and Queen Veronica, Duncan, and Jamie all struggle to determine how to address and handle the situation. In the end they decide the best thing to do is to have Kenna return to the magical land.
With the townspeople and all the inhabitants of Doon become restless with the unfortunate events the fungus is causing, Veronica thought she had gotten her happily ever after until all of this appeared. Now Veronica and Kenna frantically try to get to the bottom of it all, can they stop the fungus before it’s too late?
Corp and Langdon did what is not always easy to do, writer a sequel that is better than the book before. Destined for Doon was fun, magical, adventurous and will have you in another land.
